What are the demands of Iran’s freedom fighters?

Here is what mainstream media will not disclose, that there is very little talk of reforming specific laws or statutes in the current movement.

Hearing the slogans being chanted, it’s uncontroversial that the two main slogans are, (1) “Death/down to the Supreme Leader” (the Head of State) and (2) “Women, Life, Freedom,” which are the substantive demands of the movement.

The slogans are aimed at the leadership and foundation of the illegitimate dictatorship currently occupying Iran and that entered power after numerous coups starting in 1979.

One slogan is clearly aimed at the dictator's Head of State, with the other dealing with the substantive demands that are fully at odds with the Islamic dictatorship.

These two forming the main slogans of the movement in Iran, indicates that the freedom fighters there are against the whole Islamic dictatorship, not one specific law.

From its inception, the dictatorship in Iran has ranked the highest in executions after China, has subjected women to detention, rape and other barbaric punishments for not following Islamic dress and gender codes, and has codified men to be the head of the household on all matters.

The struggle between theocracy and democracy is a subject of relevance and political debate in all countries, as Islamic extremists and fundamentalists, who are unchecked by most countries due to fear or what have you, continue to attack freedoms of even ordinary citizens in every single continent.

The fight and debate shall rage until we are all rid of religious extremism, once and for all…
